Terms of Use

Effective date: 4 April 2026. These terms govern use of YARDLA services, including account registration, listing publication, and lead communication. By creating an account or using the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding contracts under Nigerian law to use YARDLA. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to close accounts where this cannot be verified.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and one-time passcodes secure. Activity performed from your account is treated as authorised by you. Notify us immediately at support@yardla.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Marketplace Platform — No Brokerage

YARDLA is a property listing marketplace that connects advertisers with prospective buyers, renters, and tenants. YARDLA is not a real estate broker, agent, or party to any property transaction. We do not verify title documents, conduct property inspections, hold deposits, or guarantee the accuracy of any listing. All transactions are solely between the advertiser and the prospective buyer or tenant. You are strongly encouraged to seek independent legal and property advice before committing to any transaction.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Nigerian law, YARDLA shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from: (a) reliance on listing information provided by third-party advertisers; (b) fraudulent, inaccurate, or misleading listings; (c) any property transaction entered into between users; or (d) temporary unavailability of the platform. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it.

5. Listing Quality

You must provide accurate listing information, genuine media, and reachable contact details. Listings must relate to real properties that you own or are authorised to advertise. YARDLA may moderate, reject, remove, or suspend content and accounts that appear misleading, fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of applicable law, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

6. Content Ownership and Licence

You retain ownership of all content (photos, text, descriptions) that you upload to YARDLA. By submitting content, you grant YARDLA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and reproduce that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. You represent that you have the right to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe any third party's rights.

7. Fair Use

You agree not to misuse the platform, including but not limited to: scraping or harvesting data, sending unsolicited messages (spam) to leads, impersonating another person, circumventing access controls, or interfering with service availability through automated requests or attacks.

8. Subscriptions and Fees

Certain features of YARDLA are available through paid subscription plans. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and applicable taxes will be displayed before purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of a paid feature after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new fee.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

YARDLA may suspend or permanently terminate your account and remove your listings at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of YARDLA shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. We encourage users to first contact us directly at support@yardla.com to resolve disputes amicably before pursuing formal proceedings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date above and, where practicable, by in-app notification. Continued use of YARDLA after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
