About YARDLA

Nigeria’s property marketplace — moderated listings, real people

Property search in Nigeria is still too often a gamble — scattered listings, unresponsive agents, and no way to know what is real. YARDLA is a structured marketplace where every listing is reviewed by a human before it goes live, agents register with their details, and you can message them directly without leaving the platform. We do not claim to be fraud-proof. We do commit to catching what we can and acting fast on every report.

Our mission

Nigeria’s residential property market is valued at over $25 billion annually, yet for most people the experience of finding a home remains broken. Listings are scattered, prices are opaque, and there is rarely a reliable way to know whether an agent is legitimate or a property is still available. YARDLA exists to change that.

We are building a moderated marketplace where every listing is reviewed by a human before it goes live, agents register with their real details, and you can message them directly without leaving the platform. We cannot promise that every listing is perfect or that every agent is beyond reproach — but we commit to acting on every report we receive and removing what does not meet the standard.

YARDLA is founder-funded at launch. We hope to grow with the support of the community we are building for. We are not backed by advertisers, which means our incentives stay aligned with users. As the platform grows, revenue will come from agent and advertiser subscriptions. We are also building towards additional features — including ranking signals tied to verified credentials and track record, not to who pays the most. We will be transparent about how ranking works as those features roll out.

YARDLA is built to comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the NDPR 2019 from day one. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

What we stand for

Listings reviewed before you see them

Every property on YARDLA goes through a moderation check before it reaches buyers or renters. If a listing is misleading, overpriced, or fraudulent, our team removes it — and we act on reports without exception.

Built for Nigeria

From Lagos Island to Kaduna, Lekki to Asokoro — YARDLA is shaped around how Nigerians actually find property. Nigerian states, local property types, Naira pricing, and search filters that match the way people really look.

Agents with real profiles

Every agent on YARDLA registers with their details and builds a track record through the platform. Their listings go through the same moderation process as everyone else. You can message them directly, view their listing history, and report any conduct that does not meet the standard.

Neighbourhood intelligence

Our Neighbourhood Spotlights surface local context — nearby amenities, price trends, and community character — so you can make a well-informed decision before you ever visit a property.

No pay-to-rank, no hidden fees

All prices are published in Naira. You cannot pay to appear higher in search results. Search order is based on trust signals — listing track record and engagement today, with phone verification and agent credentials added as the platform grows. We do offer clearly labelled spotlight placements on the homepage for agents who want extra visibility — these are always marked and never mixed silently into search results. We will always be transparent about how ranking works.

Your data, protected

YARDLA is built to comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the NDPR 2019 from day one. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties. You have the right to access, correct, and delete what you share with us.

Work with us

YARDLA is a lean, founder-led operation. We welcome strategic partnerships, investment conversations, and community contributors who share our belief that Nigerian property consumers deserve better. If you are building something that complements what we are doing — or if you want to back it — we would love to hear from you.

Support an independent marketplace

YARDLA is 100% founder-funded. No outside investment has been taken, and no community contributions have been received to date — every feature has been built, tested, and shipped by a one-person founding team. We hope that will change. If you believe the Nigerian property market deserves a platform that puts users first, any form of support — a donation, a partnership, an investment conversation, or simply spreading the word — helps keep this independent.
